Without a doubt, Native American has significant contribution in shaping our values and beliefs. I like the first one because no matter what we go through in life, there is something we should be thankful for. I am thankful for waking up to a beautiful morning and always grateful for the gift of life.
I also like the fact that Native Americans teach us to return to nature and respect Mother Earth. The message is pretty simple but something for all of us to live by. Aside from number one, I have picked 10 of my favorite Native American code of ethics:
1. All persons make mistakes. And all mistakes can be forgiven

2. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.
3. Respect the privacy and personal space of others. Do not touch the personal property of others, especially sacred and religious objects. This is forbidden.
4. Respect others religious beliefs. Do not force your belief on others.
