Laura looked hard into the open book on her lap. Her mind refuses to concentrate on the subject in front of her.
For the seventh time within the minute, her gaze drifts to three of her class-mates deep in conversation, not quite ten feet from her.
As her gaze fell on them for the umpteenth time, she heard them roar in laughter.
“They are laughing at me again” she thought. In shame, she buries her head deeper into her book as hot tears stream down her face.
