5 Practical Ways to Overcome Recurrent Negative Thinking

Feeling negative and depressed

5. Gracefully let go of any physical object that provokes negative thought or mental self-torture.

For those whose cause of negative thought is hinged on physical parameters like the death of a pet, bad result or failed project among others, let go of such things.

Don’t keep the picture of a dead pet in the guise of remembrance. As long as it awakes negative thoughts in you, let go of these pictures physically, and in your head instead replace them for the loving memories as you allow yourself to heal. It’s not about forgetting something or someone you loved, it’s about not torturing yourself every day of your life.

Life is short and should be lived to its fullness in happiness and joy every moment that you can. Don’t cut short your dreams with a negative thought pattern.

No matter how addicted you may be, you can change through strong determination and a will to live a fulfilled life. Take one step at a time.

Don’t compare yourself with anyone. Remember you are unique and special.

Always look at the brighter side of life!
