Everyone has some guiding principles to live by. These provide an extra boost so you can brave the wind and journey through life, but what if these principles you have been holding on to are the reasons you live an unfulfilled life?
You can be living a life based on what society dictates. If this is the case, you might want to to do a reality check.
If you believe in these five myths about life, it’s time to change your views:
Myth #1
You can do everything
Although a little pep talk for someone consumed by self-doubt is good, taking things literally can be harmful too. Fulfilling different roles at the same time will never help you achieve your goals in life. You are human, you do have limitations.

You can’t be a mom, a businesswoman, a teacher, a life coach, a babysitter at once. Biting off more than you can chew will do nothing to improve yourself. Slow down and take it easy. You are not a robot to take orders as you cannot handle everything.
Myth #2
You can be forever young
Why is it that everyone is afraid of getting old? Although there really is nothing wrong with staying young, it seems that the quest to being forever young has already become an obsession. You will only be happy if you have money
The best things in life are free and with that being said, money will never buy you happiness.
You just need to change the way you view things because if you depend your happiness on material things, the positive emotions you experience will only be short-lived. There are always things we can be thankful for and they don’t always have to involve material stuff.
Myth #4
If you want to get ahead, cheat
While it seems great to discover a shortcut to success, a surge of guilt will never make such an experience rewarding.
If you know how to play your cards right, you can stay in the game even when you don’t always get ahead. Success is not the only factor that proves your worth so don’t let it define you.
Myth #5
Life is unfair
Only pessimists deem life unfair. Sure, you encounter challenges and trials in your journey but no one can stop you from reaching your dreams and achieving your goals.
It all boils down to proper mindset.
