As you grow up, your family, friends, peers and the society at large, expect you to achieve certain milestones.
For instance, after college, you’re expected to get a job, marry, have children etc.
When you don’t meet these expectations, people will start comparing with your peers whom they believe have succeeded.
While, such comparisons are meant to let you know that you’re lagging behind, they can also put undue pressure on you, causing you to feel worthless.
When worthlessness goes on for a long time, you may lose your self-belief, self-confidence and self-esteem.
