Happiness

When Being Happy Spreads Like Wildfire

Here’s an interesting fact. Did you realize that happiness spreads quickly? You might not have noticed it, but I’m sure you’ve experienced it. Consider a time when you were with someone who was completely immersed in joy.

Children are amazing not just for being totally happy but also for sharing and expressing that happiness. You can’t help but smile when you’re around a small child who is smiling, giggling, and having a good time. Their happiness makes us happy because it is contagious, highly similar to a yawn.

We can use joy and happiness to share our joy and enthusiasm since it can spread from person to person. Use it to improve your mood on any given day, and don’t be hesitant to share it with others.

Soak Up The Happiness

When you’re having a bad day, finding a smiling individual can help you feel better. Surround yourself with positive people who know how to spread joy.

Find your own personal cheerleaders to whom you may turn when you need a lift.

While viewing a comedy or a cheerful movie may be beneficial, experiencing happiness in person appears to have a considerably greater impact on how you feel. Get out there and take in the joy.

Spread Joy to Everyone

You could not only feed off the happiness of others, but you can also begin to share it around. In a previous post, we discussed how giving makes us happier than receiving. In the same vein, sharing your joy will help both you and those around you.

If you purposefully share your enthusiasm and excitement with those around you, you will produce contagious positive energy. You’ll notice that your family and friends are smiling more, laughing with you, and having a fantastic time.

Then something unusual happens. You begin to feed off their good vibes and happiness, which increases your own happiness. Continue in this manner, and you will create a spiral of happiness that will spread far and wide. A simple smile or shared chuckle may lift the spirits of an entire gathering. That’s really potent stuff.

As you engage with others, begin to notice their moods and be aware that both happiness as well as sadness, can indeed be contagious also. Use what we’ve discussed in this post to your advantage, and when appropriate, share happiness to shift the vibe in the room.

You don’t have to be overjoyed, exploding with happiness to make a difference. Instead, take a moment to reflect on a good experience or something you’re thankful for.

Then demonstrate and share your happiness, and watch it spread around the room.

Smiling, encouraging dialogue, being a cheerleader, and working to make the world a better place are all ways to make the world a happier place.
