5. Free entertainment
For low budget entertainment, I have been visiting the local library and bask in the glory of countless number of books available for free.

These libraries have books on every imaginable subject and since their stock is rotated constantly, I have never run out of materials to read.
For those are mobility-impaired or live in areas that lack libraries, there are ePub and PDF format books that can be read on the iPad, e-reader or even computer to offer a free source of entertainment.
Remember that there is no replacement to a good paper-based book. Even when electricity is out, you can take a good old book anywhere with you.
But if you are tech-savvy, you may as well take advantage of one of the coolest benefits of modern e-reading: Turn your mobile device or tablet into a enormous library ready at your fingertips.
This is in my opinion one of the benefits of technology and one of it’s appropriate uses.
