Even in these toughest times, you should always be grateful for what you do have. Sounds strange, right? A lot of times, we look at the things we do not have, and lose focus on the things we do have.

No matter what you are going through, you still have a life full of blessings! These blessings are what you need to focus on.

Life

If you woke up this morning, you need to be thankful for being allowed to see another day. You are breathing and you have a pulse.

Someone somewhere did not wake up this morning. You get to spend another day of your life with family and friends, and enjoy the luxury of life.

Life is one of the biggest reasons to be thankful. If you were born under any other circumstance, you may not have been here today. You have this day and moment and hopefully many more to enjoy life’s pleasures.

Employment

You are employed. There are so many people that are out looking for jobs right now. Be grateful that you are not in a long line of unemployed people, because you could have been. The job competition is fierce, and so many others are highly qualified but not chosen.

You have a job, so be thankful that you do. Even if you dislike your job or coworkers, your job does not define you. Your job is the work you do to get paid.

There are things outside of work that you can do to offset any stress at the office. Unemployed people cannot earn a paycheck. Be glad that you are not in the unemployment line.

Your immune system is designed to fight viruses that enter your body. Think about all of the people who have diseases and failing health. They wish they were in your shoes. You have your health and strength which allow you to do what you want.

You may get sick at times, but you should still be grateful that your body helps you to walk, talk, see, hear and get around.

Your health and strength is the foundation of who you are; one of the greatest blessings in life.

There are many more reasons you should be grateful for what you have. You can develop an attitude of appreciation when you train your mind to focus on the good, even in difficult situations. You can choose the direction of the things you focus on.

Focus on the benefits of any bad situation because even bad situations can turn around for your good. Never take for granted anything that you have.
