It felt like for the longest time I was feeling sluggish and fatigued all the time. I tried some exercise, I tried eating a little better. The culprit however ended up being so simple and right in front of my eyes I just ignored it. The culprit was poor sleep habits.
I’m always doing something aside from my regular job. I like learning new things that relate to working from home. I research new products and tools that make things easier, faster, or more efficient when it comes to running my social media channels, blogging, content development and all that. Totally enjoy listening to motivational and inspirational self-improvement videos. And once in a while enjoy listening to a few intriguing UFO stories and stuff.
It seems nowadays we are saturated by information coming in from everywhere. And the 24 hours a day just doesn’t seem enough to do all the things I want to do, and all the things I want to learn.
And this is the reason I stay up late and end up having little sleep. It’s normal for me to have 5 hours of sleep, sometimes 4, other times 6. But I honestly can’t remember the time I had a full 8 hours of sleep.
Every morning I usually feel ok but right after 2:00 PM sluggishness starts kicking in and start going downhill fast.
Another thing important to mention is that many times however many hours I sleep are often interrupted, that is, I wake up one or multiple times. This I’m sure adds to it.
But then I began to hear a thing or two about essential oils, something that I thought only grandma’s and stay at home moms used. I told my wife to get me a lavender one just to try it out. There it sat for about a month, I had completely forgotten about it. Then one week where I was having a hard time falling asleep, thinking about stuff, reminded me of that lavender oil thing.
I decided to try it out. I simply put a couple drops in my finger and rubbed some right under my nostrils. Almost as soon as I hit the pillow, I just passed out, that lavender oil thing really knocked me out good.
I cannot remember the last time I had such good sleep before that.
