Sometimes Being Alone Is Better Than Being With The Wrong People

being alone self-discovery

It is far much better to be without friends at all than to keep people who have bad character in your life. If at this point, you still dread spending quality time with yourself, may be the following reasons will make you change your mind:

Self-Development

“Me time” allows you to grow into a better person. It gives you the time to meditate, pray, write, read, play, heal, love and chat the direction you want you life to take. The skills you’ve acquired during this time, can significantly improve your life if you put them to good use.

Self-Discovery

Instead of wasting your time with the wrong people who don’t deserve you, it’s better to spend that time with yourself. Relax and get to no more about yourself. I’m sure in due time, you’ll not only be able to enjoy your own company, but you’ll also discover qualities you never knew you had.

Self-Acceptance

Many of us keep the wrong company, turn to substance abuse or shopping therapy in order to hide from our true ourselves. Taking time off to be alone can help you discover who you really are, and as you do so, you’ll be able to accept yourself just the way you are.

At the end of the day, you’re the ultimate boss of your own life. You may meet different people in the course of your life, but it is up to you to decide who stays and who goes. Spending a bit of time by yourself isn’t that bad if you’ve realized that you’ve been keeping the wrong company. Just be yourself; it is only a matter of time before the right people come along.
